Where is it snowing right now?

Forty-five stations, from capital cities to high passes to resorts, checked against the live weather model the moment you open this page. Snowing first, starting-soon next. Somewhere on Earth, it is always snowing.

How this board works

The board reads the current conditions and two-day snowfall totals for each station from the Open-Meteo weather model in a single pass: no stored data, no yesterday's news. A station counts as snowing now when the model's current snowfall rate is above zero or its weather code reports snow; expected today or tomorrow means the daily total for the next 48 hours is positive. Stations were chosen for one honest reason: they are the places people actually ask about, from Vilnius to Whistler to Queenstown.

In the northern summer the action moves south: the Andes, the Southern Alps of New Zealand and the Australian high country carry the flag from June to October. That is why this page is never empty.
