Špindlerův Mlýn snow report
The busiest ski destination in Czechia, and an honest 533 m of vertical topping out at 1,235 m, well below the tundra plateau above it. That is low for reliable natural cover at this latitude, so 95% of the slopes are wired for snowmaking. Sector linking is part-built: the first Medvědín to Svatý Petr connection is due for 2026-27, with the return leg later.

Why it snows here
The Krkonoše are the first substantial barrier that north-westerly flow meets after crossing the North European Plain unobstructed, and precipitation climbs from about 700 mm at the foot of the range to 1,230 mm on the summit ridge. The main ridge is among the windiest places in Europe, which is what builds the drifts the range is known for.
